Following Henry Thoreau - Outer Cape Cod

I spent a few weeks at the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill. The following was written by Bruce Ployer for their website to describe the focus for my artist residency.
"Amy Ragus is a student of Henry David Thoreau and came to Truro with an interest in exploring Thoreau's Cape Cod writing while in direct contact with the out Cape shoreline, particularly the writing about the shore as a jumping off point to the wild unknown of the ocean. The shore being a transition point between the land and the ocean. Much of Amy's work reflects the meditation and spirituality associated with the sounds and power of the ocean and where the ocean meets the land."
I have been "following" Henry for a while - since the 1990's when I first stumbled upon Walden Woods in Concord, Ma. Only very recently have I become aware that Thoreau visited Nantucket as well as Gloucester.
