Ferry Crossing, Catskill, NY 2017

This is the site of an old ferry crossing with the Rip Van Winkle Bridge in the distance.
Remnants of a dock can be seen further along the shoreline to the left.
Recently I recognized what seems to be a very similar viewpoint in a painting by Charles Herbert Moore "Hudson River, Above Catskill" (1865) owned by the Amon Carter Museum. Moore lived right up the hill from where I am standing.
