The Queen, Salem

Walking around in Salem during the high season is energizing and unpredictable.
Often a family group will saunter around from street to street. Essex Street is the main thoroughfare to see and be seen. In this case, I was lucky to get this more interesting location. Sometimes I will have a fleeting glimpse of a costume I want to capture -- but too late, they are gone in the crowd. Other times I will follow.
